The Angel On Your Shoulder is... Who?
My Personal Opinion Website.
Prologue

I very much consider myself a devout Christian. I do not merely see Christianity as a philosophy or as a worldview that guides my action, something that I can encapsulate and hold before me like a soap bubble in my hand, but as life itself. A spiritual soap bubble can be any size. I can control it by holding it in front of me when I want others to see it or hide it behind my back to avoid embarrassment. As I become inspired, I can breathe in the air of belief and make it enormous. Or when I become challenged, I can deflate it to accommodate my skepticism. Tragedy can even pop it.  But I do not believe that anyone can intellectually blow in or suck out air of spiritual principle as it accommodates our desires.

When we were born, we entered the spiritual bubble - life. It is nothing that we can inflate or deflate and the boundaries are beyond our reach. Diverting our eyes from one spiritual aspect does not shield us from another. We are inside this bubble and there is no escaping it except through death.

This bubble is the subject of this study – both what is inside and what is outside.

I utterly and profoundly believe that the universe was literally created, controlled and continues to be influenced by one omni-present, omni-knowing and omni-powerful God.  That this one God, created the earth in seven literal days, breathe life in all living things and specifically created mankind in his image. I also believe that this very same God became a man in the name of Jesus and the essence that we call the Holy Spirit. These three divisions that we call the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit are collectively the single entity that we know as God.

I also unequivocally accept that the man Jesus was both the embodiment of God and is the ultimate representative of God. That he physically lived upon earth for the purpose of providing a mechanism for all mankind to gain salvation. And that salvation was presented and unequivocally granted to anyone who truly believes that the physical resurrection of Jesus was the ultimate payment of any and all transgressions that stands between man and God.

Additionally I also confess that I truly believe that the Bible in total is the inerrant word of God. Not in presentation, but in principle and philosophy. I believe the entire collection of the books in the King James’ Bible (and any honest modern translations) is God inspired.
